What is therapy?

Therapy (sometimes known as counselling, intervention, or talk therapy) is a collaborative process designed to support emotional wellbeing and psychological growth. It provides a confidential space to talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Many people seek therapy during times of overwhelm, stress, or uncertainty - when things feel heavy, confusing, or harder to manage alone. Therapy offers the opportunity to slow things down, make sense of what's happening, and explore new ways of understanding and responding to challenges.

It's more than just talking. Therapy draws on psychological knowledge and evidence-based approaches to help build insight, increase self-awareness, and support meaningful change.

At its core, therapy is about understanding, support, and working together in a way that feels safe and respectful.

Why use Telehealth for therapy?

Telehealth Therapy offers flexible, accessible psychological support for teens and adults, delivered online via a secure video platform. It allows you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space - whether that’s at home, during a work break, or somewhere quiet that feels safe and familiar.

Online therapy can be especially helpful for people living in regional areas, those with busy schedules, parents managing childcare, individuals with mobility or health considerations, or anyone who simply finds it easier to engage from their own environment. Removing travel time and logistics often makes it more sustainable to prioritise your mental health.

Telehealth sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your needs. They can help with:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Neurodivergent identity and self-understanding

  • Burnout and overwhelm

  • Emotion regulation

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Life transitions, including transition to parenthood

  • Executive functioning strategies

Our approach is person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming, integrating evidence-based therapies and practical regulation strategies. Sessions can also incorporate creative elements where helpful.

All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with camera and microphone access.

Telehealth Therapy offers the same warmth, collaboration, and depth as in-person sessions - just with greater flexibility.
